Stories and memories!!!
In one of the books I read , it was written that 'Bedtime stories make the strongest memory for a child'. I find this true because I like stories, no matter when they are being told. Grandparents are born to be storytellers, they use the night time to instill traditional, cultural and mythical values in grandchildren. Those are still afresh in my mind. Not only the bedtime stories, i still have the memories of the stories i read in my English and Hindi books in school. I think stories when told artistically can leave a lasting impression on mind and turn the course of actions.
The mythical stories of Hinduism like Ramayana and Mahabharata may be just stories or why would be they called 'mythical' but we keep on celebrating festivals around it , spend money and get holidays. But the point is that we keep on telling and reciting these stories to teach the people about the things that matter like truth, duty, honor, sacrifice.
I am not atheist but God sometimes seems to be mythical. We listen to the stories of God from our elders , we started believing in the powerful mystical creature and keep going for the traditions. But yes, the faith keeps us stronger, keep our hopes alive and keep us afraid enough not to commit any crimes.
I never wanted to cover God in this post of stories, but he came up from nowhere. Yes, exactly my point, he is Mystical and Mythical!!!

Joy of working..(Kind of preface for a book)
I can write a book on the experiences of working but i have just completed 4 years of work, so i am gonna wait and gain more wisdom in this area to compile in a book.
But here are some things that i learnt while working and try everyday to implement them.
- Friends are everywhere, we need better communication to find them.
- Work gives satisfaction, if you put your heart in whatever you do.
- You can always take a day off 'out of the blue', your company can afford it.
- Lunch in office should be always enjoyed with people who are ready to talk about anything but work.
- Nobody expects you to work for more than 6 hours, you should also stop sweating about it.
- Exercise needs you, do it at least for the sake of it.
- We are asked and assigned the work in 'team' for a reason, work in a team to explore that reason.
- Keep office's mental baggage in your office drawer while leaving from there
- Laugh a lot when you work, it keeps the mind fresh
- Respect every one and their work, just like you want your work to be respected
I love to be a part of a culture, that is young working people. I really do. I know money can do wonders but it feels miraculous when you earn it while enjoying the process of making them.
Tried it, felt it. :)

If you could make people taste memories, you should.
Not going to take credit or accept your praises for the beautiful title, it's from the paperboatdrinks.com . Recently I watched an animated video created by Paper Boat drinks with background song as Life is still beautiful. It made me go visit my memory lane and all the wonderful things of childhood came back as a slideshow. Thinking over it, I realized how many things I have forgotten that once used to be important; how easily those memories came back watching that video and what would have happened if nobody created that video. Memories are like a splash of cold water on your face, you get blinded for some moments lost in some different zone; then reality hits hard and you smile upon the feeling that splash gave you.
I adamantly refuse to let go of some memories, so does my parents and sister. They never let me forget some funny moments of my childhood, which i now find embarrassing but remembering those things and including those jokes in daily life spread smiles. It's just not about me or my sister or our childhood pranks; we absolutely hold on to the funny mistakes of our parents and tease them at every chance we could. Vocabulary used at my home is filled with the funny jokes and mistakes that sometime back my parents or we sisters made. Every small jokes that we shared as a family has now grown up roots in our hearts, we don't cut them after laughing on them only once. Those things bind us and we keep reliving those moments .
I love to take photos and keep them with me as souvenirs but if there is no memory attached to photographs, then seeing those wont give me a splash; i ll just say 'oh yeah, we took this trip that year and we had fun'. Without anecdotes and jokes of the trip, i am just going to look at the scenery, not the people I took the trip with. When there are rounds of laughter and people around, memories get built up. But you need to remember these moments to realize how attached you are to those things. I laugh so hard with my friends thinking about two very funny people of my school. I laugh very hard remembering a very rude thing said to colleague by his boss and how we all made fun of him. Without the people and their words at the moment, you wouldn't be laughing at memories few decades later.
Sad memories can make you strong, make you proud of yourself and make you laugh at yourself. They make you realize power of the ultimate truth 'this too shall pass' and make you face the next day with new hope. Sad memories make me realize that at one point of time, i used to think this is the end of the world, and once i hated everybody(read 'Parents') who refused to co-operate with me(read 'Scolded me'). There are some moments of childhood especially those can give you goosebumps, believe me.
I am truly fortunate to have such family, friends, colleagues who never let go of any chance to creating and reliving those memories. You need to relax and take a side step from your road once in a while to have a cold water splash just to become fully alive.
Thank you Paper Boat for letting me plunge deep into my childhood memories..Wonderful video.
Chidiya ud, tota ud...;)

A creative person Or an artist person?
We need to calm down a little bit. We get so overwhelmed by anybody who has a creative side that we get flattered instanty.
Any fellow is know as creative because he does what everybody else is not doing. If all the people around you are painters, and if you opted out not to paint then you are creative since you are not like anybody . I think each one of us are creative, we just choose not to do something creative over doing something which pays our bills 'easily'; easily because something which you are good at ,will earn you money eventually .
I think 'creative' word is restricting our ideas and 'artist' word brings a whole lot of prejudices with itself. When you can create something, choose not to buy the same thing available easily, you are creative. When you have lots of ideas around one particular thing, then you are artist of that art.
I have seen creative people and I have seen artists. My mom is very creative, she knows what menu to put up with which set of friends. She knows what furniture will go with walls. She can make a new set of jewellery from the bits and pieces of junk jewellery lying around. She knows individual things that will calm down each person in the home. She knows how to decorate perfectly any dessert or any showy thing. But when an interior designer is around, she cannot be boss because there is an artist present who knows this art better than her.
Artists are wholly devoted to their art. They think, breathe, see and listen to only those things which gets approval by their artistic aura(if you know what I mean). This kind of dedication is not everybody's cup of tea. It requires patience, dedication and a strong belief in your art.
Creative people just go for something that will be widely appreciated and accepted. They need to observe the people who they are dealing with.Their idea is to keep everybody happy including themseves. I think every artist should be creative if he want a wider range of audience. Suppose if a vocal artist is invited to a wedding and he has been asked to perform a song. If he is a creative person , he will go for a happy, well-known song. If he is not creative, he will perform on anything without thinking about the occassion or people or location.Artists make their living out of their art so it is not their fault if they are not concerned with what people might think. Whereas creative people are just concerned with making things better which is not always necessary. One can easily survive with simple things without adding any creative touch.
What one thing I surely know is anything which you cannot do, and some other person does it,then it calls for a good appreciation. You have to be a sport and appreciate the efforts. Even if it's a small help of making your presentation more presentable, or giving a personal touch to a very small space of your apartment by your artist friend. Art is meant to please your senses. SO when you do get pleased, don't hesitate to pass over a good appreciation to the responsible person.
And even if you think that you dont possess a single creative bug inside your head, just speak to yourself; it will help. And you can always excel in being an honest critic of the art.
Let's hope for appreciation(and less hope for criticism).
Feeing artistic(creative included),

Discipline!!
Hi,
Be informed that I have already given up the urge to belong to this generation..So read this post assuming that author is from old school..
I find discipline very natural and helpful..It isn't about following a strict regime or organising everything that comes your way. Discipline is the attitude which helps you to do what is correct by general acceptance. Discipline is respecting others' time by being punctual, being cautious about the way of talking to your seniors. It can be about maintaining the decorum of the conversation or being sensitive about others.
My family is known to be disciplinary in all the possible senses. Growing up in the discipline environment was not difficult, however it wasn't easy . I had the restrictions for everything, so does my parents. Building this attitude in kids asked them to sacrifice their fun. We(my sister n I) were taught to be considerate, to be prepared for anything and to plan everything on advance. We were taught to be polite and think quickly on any situation.
Today, discipline is just for those studying in military academies because they require to think and act according to the situation. Remaining 95% of population is enjoying their "right to freedom". We are open to everything that can spoil us and very comfortable in ruining our lives. Disciplined person is criticized and neglected and condemned to put restrictions. Touché! !
I strongly believe in the power of discipline and how it can shape a good future. When you are good at organizing yourself , you are helping to organise our country. And trust me, seeing your room clean, returning back home in sober mood and respecting elders are not bad things. But staying out late, consuming drugs and shutting yourself in the room are definitely bad. There is no charm of the things which can ruin you permanently.
Up for a change,
Mrunal

Respect your Life!!! Seriously!!
I am really stressed out. You know why? Because some jerk with no brains posted a disgusting fake image of a gruesome blister on arm of some person. I am not able to get that image out of my mind because bad blisters ruined one year of my childhood. I dont know what prompts people to do this kind of prank. The thought process behind such a cruel though very small act scares me. When you are feeling elated on disturbing somebody's day, somebody's mind, somebody's peace then how you can be trusted with a whole lifetime. Life time of 50 years is enough for creating more of such a nonsense stuff just to get cheap publicity on internet. Maybe this is a very small thing to be paranoid on but this is ruining my day, my peace. It's a huge thing for me.
I was raeding one blog which had stories of suicide attempts. Out of 10 stories, 5 suicides were the result of high school bullying. Bullies in high schools are feared by everyone and the end result of non-stop bullying is suicide by the kids. Why do some people possess this kind of mentality towards the weak and vulnerable, this is really frustrating for me. To understand this mentality, I need to study psychology. Studies shows that bullies are people who suffer from bad childhood or themselves got bullied sometime.
I am scared to the core for facing the next day after reading this. I am not scared of the people, i am terrified of the circumstances that forces people to behave this way. I am terrified of the mentality of the 12-13 year kids to brutally beat a kid of the same class just for proving the supremacy. I am terrified of the negligence of the parents who dont know what their kids are posting on the internet, what kind of cruel images and jokes makes their kids happy.
World is not a good place to live in.
Going into depression,

Forgiven and forgotten. ..
I am embracing this toughest task and asking you to join me...Haa,it seems as if I am driving a social cause for improvement of this society, but I am not. I am asking people who got hurt by my actions. I am asking you to forgive me and if you cannot do that, at least forget me. I cannot be brazen to face you all without apologizing. Since some of us are not even on the talking terms, so accept my apology here.
A very popular animated movie has a dialog "oh yes, past can hurt. But either you can run from it or learn from it." But it is not easy to learn frm the past because the thing which is to learn do stabs you at the same point like it did in the past.
Each person has some share of daily pains inflicted by the past. Maybe a person, memories or something reminds us of it everyday. But you can never be happy fully if one portion of your heart remains stuck in the past and bleeds. Maybe be the apology can help you get over the past..I am trying the same, I will be never forgiven in the worst case but I ll be at peace with myself.
Forgetting is easy when no piece when you have no grudge attached with the person. Grudges are ugly, they haunt the peace and howl in the mind..Let them go, let the person of ur grudge realize his fault..and even if he doesn't, you have got nothing to lose..
People, please forgive me whenever I was at fault. .
Counting on you,
Mrunal

You wanna be rich..
In the coming few months, one thing that is definitely going to happen is the 360° turn that life's gonna make. Have we all not known about the fact that everything happens for a reason, if I am failing then it's also happening for a reason. That's a very convenient and easy explanation that we can give to ourselves;for what's coming next is not known to us. I would love to dream very high but that doesn't make my capacity go high.
As you go on aging , you get the crunch out of your life. I am more than happy for my happy and uncompetitive childhood unlike today's generation because those years contributed a lot to my development and added treasures to my memories. Neither i care if I achieved good grades in my school, nor I care about my fellow classmates current status' in the society.
Likewise, I don't care what my position will be in the coming years or where I go for spending my holidays. What I care are the people whom I gonna remember in the coming years and with whom I would love to share my holidays wherever it may be.
Let your behavior decide your future because that's the way it is supposed to be decided. And believe me, if you can proudly call yourself a good person at heart, you are richer than 80% of the people and happier than 95% of the people.

No idea what's going on!!
Hi there,
I really want to get out of here, I really do. I cannot think of anything nowadays, I just wanna end this. But end what? my job, my work, my life, my existence, what??? No idea.. Maybe this is a phase of the working career when you suddenly realise that life is not about working, life is not about getting paid, life is not about shopping, it is about making your minutes count. I want to make my minutes count but i cannot go on like this. I work diligently, I enjoy a social life and then I get a peaceful sleep. But in the night i cannot count on ething that i did in the whole day which i can be proud of. What am I doing? I blank and numb all over, i get fuzzy over little things, i get influenced easily, and i screw all the chances of getting decent life partner. My friend says that i am looking for the answers outside instead of looking for them inside. But how do i do that, looking inside myself? How?
Somebody better answer me, because i m clueless. These days i usually clueless about everything. What's happening? I am insecure, dont know what for. This is not what i had expected out of my life. Is anybody listening to this SOS message? This is really a life threatening situation.
God!!!
Desperately in need of miracle,

Cannot please whole world..
No matter how much I try, I cannot do the things which are acceptable to ALL. Sometimes somebody is going to get hurt and my potrayal will be of an ignorant person. I have tried to balance out the things amongst all but it hurts me in the end. Sometimes you got to think keeping in perspective of the future. Sometimes you got to prioritize the needs. Sometimes you got to keep your interest at first place.
I am not saying that I am the best judge but I cannot walk on somebody's road when I cannot see the destination ahead. If I come across a dead end, it will be a wholly my fault. When i am the person bearing the end result whatever it may be, then I should be the person deciding the way to achieve it. Yes, advices are very important and welcomed but those need to be convincing.
If I have hurt any person knowingly or unknowingly, please understand the complexity of the situations which you are unknown to. The feelings which ought to be mutual and if they are not, then the meetings and conversations become burdens.
I feel very glad when the other person draws the line of limt and expects me not to cross it. This means that we both are frank enough to respect each other's choices and individuality. But when I do it, very few people can withstand this logic. That's the reason for frequent clashes amongst people, couples, friends and partners.
Above all thoughts and logics are my own, please excuse me if those are not acceptable by ALL.
Feeling exhausted,
Mrunal

Am I scared??? hell, I am..
What scares me?? Answer will take numerous posts but I ll stick to one because I don't want to depress myself.
The voilence around us, the scarcity and depletion of natural resources, the growing diseases, pollution, etc etc...what scares me most is the thought process of us which nowadays is impulsive, impatient and always urging us to prove something. I see a 3 year old kid playing with high-tech gadgets; unaware of the harmful rays and diseases which comes with gadgets uninvited. It isn't the kid's fault, it's of his parents which are either buy in some critically important work or are trying to prove their capability to buy such expensive gadgets-turned-toys. Here comes the desperate need of proving.
Now I see a young boy of merely 10 years of age, asking his dad about cigarettes and alcohol and his dad slaps him hard. Kids are bound to ask questions but we nowadays are so impatient that without giving a thought about reason of kid's question we jumped onto the fact that he is under bad influence. Maybe the reason is the work pressure or inflation or politics whatsoever but is it worth of blaming your kid..
Then I see an old couple waiting years for meeting their grandchildren. What a depressing it must be to wait to meet a child whom they have raised and then wait to meet his children. .Is it not a right if them, which is not jotted down in constitution but morally?????
Some of these questions will always be unanswered but I don't care. I have written these down to remind myself to dodge these problems in any possible way.
In a problematic world,

What makes me cry. .
Hey..
If I want to judge a person or make an opinion about a person, I look for their behavior in vulnerable state. And according to me, a person is vulnerable when he is hurt or sad and close to tears. I personally hate to cry just because I don't want to portray myself as vulnerable creature.
But I am a girl, nobody can snatch away my universally accepted right of crying. The feeling of being hurt does not make me cry, it's the apology of the person after hurting me that makes me cry. It's not the bad day at office that makes me cry, but concern of my colleague about me does. It's not the headache caused by shrill noise of traffic makes me cry, but smile of small baby in that traffic does. I guess the way my mind works is weird. Maybe I am so acquainted with the wrong and sad things in this world that a small deed of goodness melts my heart and makes me cry. So the people whom I ve blamed for making me cry, are actually the best people in my life..
Feeling blessed,
Mrunal
Not my thing...
There are many examples where I find myself unsuitable for this generation. I hate speed, I love writing letters, I prefer punctuality, I rarely let my anger go out of control and I hate loud celebrations. May be many of you will nod in agreement but sometimes I go on blabbering about my ideals in such brazen way, it's scary. I was told yesterday that I have very strong opinions n I stick to them, my elder brother went into shock mode hearing this..I rarely get vocal about my opinions when the other side consists of my elders; whereas my discussions gets very lively with the same age people. Right from childhood, I was asked to be friends with the people with high intellect but I was never specifically told to be friends with good people. Maybe my folks knew that I ll find good people. This thing always confuses me when ther comes a fork for choosing path to intelligent person n good person. Combination of both in one in quite rare. And I try to be one of those rare minds, even though I know that I am not intelligent but I can be good..:-)
Tell me what you try to be..
Will be back again soon.

Do you know yourself???I do..
Hi Again..
So, answer my question..do you know yourself or it is your mere imagination or assumption that you are your best friend. I know myself and I am pretty clear what I can do and what I cannot. I have met quite a few people who are unaware of lots of things that can be easily achievable for them.
I have seen people who can be such good orator or writer but they really think themselves as a shy person. What I motivate people to do is to write. Writing is the art which communicates as well as keep the track of it. Sometimes, when I talk to people, their thought process impress me and I really feel that something or somebody or some gadget(??) ought to keep track of this conversation. But all goes in vain..
Some people impress me with their sense of humor and nowadays good sense of humor is one of the extinct species. The adult jokes or the cheap dialogs have replaced the sense of humor. When I meet a person with good sense of humor, I duly note the absence of video camera in my mind(and that sucks) ..I like to compliment when they truly deserve it. Most of the times, we neglect the hardwork in the case of failure.
One colleague of mine has unending patience. We (read as naughty people) ask him every possible thing about our work just to confirm if we are doing our work in right way. And believe me, he answer us alleven if he has answered the same question a couple of minute ago. His patience is something he doesnt know about. And I dnt think I mentioned it either ever..oops..I will do it right away.
One friend of mine has this ever-smiling face. His team is known by him and his smile. But he is unaware of this fact. Like wise, one friend of mine is at same time a resposible, polite, loyal and a person with full of life. But he has to know this. And, I will let him know right away..
Sometimes while writing blog , I get the realization of doing some things. How come???No idea..
Confused,
Mrunal

Childhood memories!!!relived..
There was a man in our neighborhood, or I dont know where he lived. On every Sunday, he used to come in our colony and sit in the outer porch. He had a musical instrument called EKTARA in his hand. He used to recite old Bhajans sitting there. That voice still rings very clearly in my ears. That rustic still melodious voice of his was a source of excitement for me and my sister. We used to just stare him, as we were unknown to the Bhajans that he used to sing. When we constructed new house at the same place with no porch at all :( , he just disappeared. We never saw him again. But the dedication and sincerity in his voice still inspires me. He was not a beggar, neither he was a person who would go to the streets just for singing. I am still confused what his actual job was!!
When there was any thing which could not just thrown away or some things which were too bulky to be thrown away in normal garbage, we kids were more than happy on that day. Reason is these were things which were sold to 'Ataale wala' and amount was distributed amongst kids. That small amount was so precious in those days, even though we had no needs to buy. But the feeling of having some saved money used to give a sense of pride. All the old newspapers, old notebooks were saved for the 'Ataalewala'. We were so careful in keeping the newspapers in good shape just to keep ataalewala happy. That small thing made us to value each thing and each penny which comes our way
Like 'Ataalewala' there was also a 'Jildwala' or 'Binding wala'. The unfilled pages of the notebooks were torm from the note book, piled up and were givrn to 'Jildwala' who used to bind them all. A new notebook for use in the next session was ready using the pages from the old copies.
Our milkman used to shout for us when he used to come to deliver the milk. Then we used to run downstairs and get the milk from him. He was an old person but still used to ride bicycle carrying the heavy milk cans with him. Even in the winters, he never used to wear sweater. His daily clothing were white kurti and dhoti. When we constructed new house, he stopped shouting for the milk and started climbing stairs to deliver the milk at our door step. I never noticed this change until now when i am writing this. Elders asked us to learn his discipline and honesty.
So many things changes as time continues its marathon. But the memories itched in the back of the mind never get erased. I can clearly picture these people and I will continue cherishing these memories as long as I live.
Feeling lost in old days(and loving it),

And you should know this..!!!
Hi,
When you start following some body, you actually feel inspired by that person or you care so much for that person that following him/her becomes like a necessity. The end result takes you either to the path which leads to something good or you end up being fool for blind follow up.Call this my ego or weirdness but I followed nobody, just learnt from many. One person followed me, don't know why. There is nothing much inspiring in me so the next option is that he cared for me that much. If I asked him to study, he did that. If I asked him to sleep, he did that. I told him, i dnt like cursing anyone or making adult jokes in a group, he stopped that. He was so into this following stuff that some good things became his habits. The end result is he achieved what he dreamt of and made his family proud. The proud family gived him the credit of this achievement and he foolishly gives me the credit which I do not deserve. The thing is even if you are following something, your own attitude matters. You ought to give yourself the motivation to follow the right,no matter how much you need to change the original you in the process. If you are following something religiously, there is no barrier to achieve something good out of that. I cannot follow something in this way, I dont have that guts to blindly trust anyone(Read ANYONE, really, not even my parents). But he did that and he conquered the world. And I am so proud of him..
Sky is the limit for you now..Go and increase your limit Bro.
Love,
Mrunal
